Episode Transcript
Speaker 1 00:00:08 Welcome to the Spfi guys, where we cover sp fact, sp fiction and everything in between. I'm Christian.
Speaker 2 00:00:14 And I'm Zach.
Speaker 1 00:00:15 And today we have a special podcast to celebrate global James Bondi, October 5th, the day that Dr. Noe was first released in theaters. And this year in particular is the 60th anniversary of James Bond. And actually on top of that, this will be our 100th episode released, including all micro dots and special episodes. So yeah, hundred episodes, guys.
Speaker 2 00:00:39 Wow. That is very special. I didn't know that.
Speaker 1 00:00:41 Yeah. Yeah. So on this podcast, we will be choosing characters from across time and space to create the ultimate James Bond film. Our participants are limited only by their imaginations and one universal rule. Once a character has been picked by another person, no one else can choose him or her. And at the end, it's your votes who decide who wins. So throw on your tuxedos and shake or stir those martinis because this is the global James Bond Day draft.
Speaker 2 00:01:08 Yes. For those of you who've been listening for a while, we did one in 2021 as well. And this time we have three guest stars.
Speaker 1 00:01:14 Yes. And to switch it up this time, Zach and I will both be participants and our moderator and other participants will be guests from other episodes. So first we have Carolyn, who most recently appeared on our episode covering Chuck. Hello. Next up we've got our Tom Clancy fanboy and oh seven fan, Lance, who you just heard on our Jack Ryan episode.
Speaker 4 00:01:35 And don't forget, reigning James Bond draft Champion. Oh,
Speaker 1 00:01:38 That's right. You did win last year.
Speaker 2 00:01:39 Yeah. Defending,
Speaker 1 00:01:41 Championing. Yes.
Speaker 4 00:01:43 That was for you. Zach
Speaker 1 00:01:45 <laugh>
Speaker 2 00:01:46 First was on Lance. Mm-hmm.
Speaker 4 00:01:48 <affirmative>. That's right.
Speaker 1 00:01:49 And finally we have Alana from Tuesday Night Gaming who appeared way back on our Spy Kids episode.
Speaker 5 00:01:56 Yeah, I'm still waiting for that invite for Spy Kids too and 3D and whatever <laugh>
Speaker 1 00:02:01 You really wanna cover all the time in the world. That one, I've seen all of them. And
Speaker 5 00:02:07 At least the second one.
Speaker 1 00:02:09 Okay. The second. Yeah, I'll give you that anyway. So let's, let me turn it over to Carolyn to lead us as our moderator.
Speaker 3 00:02:18 Okay. Thank you all. It is time to get started with the draft. For those of you who have watched any of our fantasy draft, uh, from Awesome Cons, Virtual Cons, a few years ago, or listened to our global James Bond Day draft last year, this should sound familiar. Once again, our participants' objective is to draft their ultimate James Bond film with the roles of James Bond, Bond woman, Bond villain, and henchman. This time. Their choices for those roles must be characters either fictional or real life from movies and tv, which have been covered on the scifi. Guys as a few James Vaughn movies have been covered on the podcast. You may choose characters from them, them, however, you can not use them in the role that they play in that film. For example, you could pick Cue from No Time To Die as Your James Bond. You could not, however, pick Dr No as your Bond villain. Once a panelist has picked a character, they will briefly explain why they pick is an excellent choice. And the others will again, briefly explain all of the drawbacks with the pick <laugh>. Once all the panelists have drafted, we will go back through the line in reverse order. So the last place panelist, uh, will draft twice in a row. This is called The Corner. So is everyone ready to get started?
Speaker 1 00:03:36 Yep. Yep,
Speaker 5 00:03:37 Yep.
Speaker 3 00:03:39 All right. Perfect. As your moderator, I have placed our panelists in a random order. Um, and that order is gonna be Zach, Christian, Lance, and Alana.
Speaker 1 00:03:49 All right.
Speaker 2 00:03:51 I'm at the top
Speaker 1 00:03:53 Back to interesting. I know I have on where Zach is going with this. I'm afraid to have theories.
Speaker 2 00:04:00 I cannot be theorized
Speaker 1 00:04:02 <laugh>.
Speaker 2 00:04:03 Okay. Is that being said? Although I try not to be predictable, I think this first pick is a very obvious one
Speaker 1 00:04:10 For me. All right.
Speaker 2 00:04:11 I'm gonna start with my villain. So in picking a villain, I had a little trouble with this. So I went back and I thought about the most recent James Bond movie, No Time To Die. And it's opening, which as you may recall, showed Brittania Brittania, the woman, a statue of her, like falling apart, like, like the shield of collapsing, sign of changing times that Britain is not what it was. So it got me thinking, who is a man who took on the British Empire at the height of its power and defeated them in his own hometown? The answer, of course, is Gandhi, but we haven't covered a movie with Gandhi in it. <laugh>. So I couldn't pick him. So then I was like, There is a man who took on the British right next door to them. He could not be stopped. Oh no. British keeps everything they could to him, but they couldn't, The only people who could defeat him was his own people. And that is why my James Bond villain is Michael Collins played by Liam Des said,
Speaker 1 00:05:10 I'm sure the people of Ireland will take great issue and you casting him as a villain.
Speaker 2 00:05:15 Well, that's another reason why he's a great villain cuz he's so sympathetic. You understand where he is coming from and you don't even really want James Bond to beat him.
Speaker 1 00:05:25 Oh
Speaker 5 00:05:25 Boy. I mean, it would be nice if a James Bond villain actually had a complicated kinda thing going on, you know, as opposed to whoever the, whatever the villain in no time did. I actually wanted to do <laugh>.
Speaker 1 00:05:36 Yeah, right. Fair enough. On Lana <laugh>.
Speaker 3 00:05:41 So that was your James Bond villain?
Speaker 2 00:05:43 Yes.
Speaker 3 00:05:44 All right. Any other comments on that choice? Oh,
Speaker 1 00:05:47 Um, I mean, you know what Fair play to you, He did run in in Intelligence. Does that work against the Brits? But here, here's the question for you though. What era are, like, do you have a specific era in mind of when this taking place for you? Is this James Bond in World War I is Or is this,
Speaker 5 00:06:04 What was Michael Collins alive World
Speaker 2 00:06:06 War i I, I. Why don't you wait and see what my other,
Speaker 1 00:06:09 All right. Curious.
Speaker 3 00:06:11 Find out. All right, well, let's move on to Christian then.
Speaker 1 00:06:14 You know what, I might as well picked this before anyone else does. So James Bond, I was like, you know, I could have picked any number of, you know, your prototypical main, you know, main character spiral is your Ethan Hunts, your Jack Ryan, your man from uncles, any of those as your bond, your James Bond. But I was like, Mmm, that seems too obvious. So what I want from James Bond, someone smooth Deber looks really good in three piece suit, but also has a, you know, an edge of brutality to him. And I started thinking back through all our movies, like, what have we covered? Where is there someone who, you know, could be a good James Bond? And started thinking, All right, let's think period. Appropriate sixties. Oh, all right. We've covered a movie in the sixties where there's someone wearing a really good suit who has, you know, he's got a slight edge edge to him, more than a slight edge. He's got an edge to him. And that, of course would be Eric Lyer Magni from X-Men First his class.
Speaker 2 00:07:14 Woo. I thought you were gonna pick, uh, someone played by Tom Cruise.
Speaker 4 00:07:18 You scared
Speaker 1 00:07:18 Me there. For me, that would be the obvious choice. But I'm like, No, no, no. I'm gonna do, I'm gonna do something different.
Speaker 5 00:07:24 I don't think it might as a, uh, Playboy typical,
Speaker 1 00:07:27 Maybe not.
Speaker 2 00:07:29 Have you imagined fan girls
Speaker 1 00:07:31 <laugh>?
Speaker 5 00:07:32 No. Just the, you just the nerds wearing the My was right T-shirt.
Speaker 1 00:07:36 Uh, fair enough. Well, I mean, you do see him sed like pretty much seducing, uh, what's her name? Mystique there,
Speaker 4 00:07:45 Kind of. Yeah. I wouldn just see the real mystique.
Speaker 2 00:07:48 So does this team bond have superpowers?
Speaker 1 00:07:52 Maybe <laugh>?
Speaker 3 00:07:54 Oh, that'd be a twist.
Speaker 2 00:07:56 Well, I I, I do appreciate our first Jewish James Bond. That's very nice.
Speaker 1 00:08:01 That's true. Yeah.
Speaker 2 00:08:02 Unless they read combat in the first class era.
Speaker 1 00:08:05 <laugh> in the first No, he's very much in Auschwitz. So in the first,
Speaker 2 00:08:10 There's a few reasons someone could be an Auschwitz that don't have be
Speaker 1 00:08:13 Jewish. That's, that's very true. You're right. Good point.
Speaker 5 00:08:15 Magna was a communist
Speaker 1 00:08:17 <laugh>. That would be a twist <laugh>.
Speaker 4 00:08:20 But he was a pure communist. He wasn't like a Marxist or Legist Communist
Speaker 1 00:08:25 <laugh>.
Speaker 3 00:08:27 All right, Well, let's move on to Lance. Lance, what's your first pick?
Speaker 4 00:08:31 Well, I was gonna go with, uh, um, the henchman first, but, uh, Christian scared the little bit Jesus out of me, uh, with his bond pick, because I was like, Oh God, he's gonna pick mine. He's gonna pick mine <laugh>. Uh, because I did wanna go with my obvious, uh, and I'm quite sure game winning choice last time of John Kosinski as Jack Ryan being my James Bond. Uh, so wanted to mix it up a little bit. But, you know, my thought process, uh, was similar to Christians and it looks good in a three P suit. Uh, definite badass. But I'm would take one better. He could unite the James Bond fans with nerd fans of the world.
Speaker 1 00:09:12 Oh boy.
Speaker 4 00:09:12 And he was no, obviously one of the, the better spy remakes of a sixties TV show. So my character for James Bond is actually going to be Napoleon Solo, played by a none other than Henry Cable
Speaker 1 00:09:28 <laugh>.
Speaker 2 00:09:28 Oh, oh, the new Napoleon solo. Yes.
Speaker 1 00:09:31 For
Speaker 4 00:09:32 The win. Yes.
Speaker 1 00:09:33 All right.
Speaker 5 00:09:34 Isn't he basically James Bond already
Speaker 1 00:09:36 Kind. That's why he's a little too obvious <laugh>.
Speaker 4 00:09:40 That's why I'm picking him now for James Bond. Well, I still can
Speaker 2 00:09:44 Well, you definitely got the can cat. Can ville bond shippers on your, uh, don't load for you
Speaker 3 00:09:52 <laugh>? Yeah. You you got my boat lamp.
Speaker 4 00:09:55 I'm, I'm already winning one. Nothing. Yes,
Speaker 3 00:09:58 <laugh> mm-hmm. <affirmative>.
Speaker 2 00:09:59 I mean, we're all supposed to criticize each other's picks. Right. I just agree with Christian that it is just little too obvious. Right.
Speaker 3 00:10:06 <laugh>,
Speaker 2 00:10:06 But maybe obvious isn't always bad.
Speaker 3 00:10:09 Yeah.
Speaker 4 00:10:09 Sometimes the best things hide in plain sight. Napoleon solo hiding in what?
Speaker 5 00:10:14 Also, like what, what kind name is Napoleon Solo anyway, clearly made up.
Speaker 4 00:10:19 Well, technically he was an, he was an American character.
Speaker 1 00:10:22 That's true.
Speaker 2 00:10:24 Well, I mean, come on. Yeah, we we're not sticking to that.
Speaker 1 00:10:28 I mean, how often does cattle actually get to play a Brit?
Speaker 2 00:10:31 Like never the only When HeLOCK Holmes.
Speaker 1 00:10:34 Yeah. Yeah. There you go. Pretty much it.
Speaker 2 00:10:36 He's not even the main character.
Speaker 3 00:10:38 Yes. Or when he is in, uh, 2005. So I captured the Castle, which I just watched last week. <laugh>. Wow.
Speaker 2 00:10:45 Did you just make
Speaker 3 00:10:45 That No one else. No one else in the world. Tiny,
Speaker 1 00:10:48 Tiny Henry Caval.
Speaker 3 00:10:50 He's like 19 in, it's, that's,
Speaker 1 00:10:53 I don't, I'm trying to remember if it's before or after. He was in the counter Monte Christo where he was also a tiny, tiny Cav.
Speaker 3 00:10:59 Yes. Yeah.
Speaker 4 00:10:59 Yes. And
Speaker 3 00:11:00 He was a real Henry Cav fan. Sure. Can
Speaker 4 00:11:02 Recommend that one too.
Speaker 3 00:11:04 <laugh> cute. All right, perfect. Well, let's move on then. Alana, let us go to you. All
Speaker 5 00:11:10 Right. All right. Back to back picks. Try to decide which, if I wanna do Villa first or Heroes first. I can't decide. Eh, I think I'll do suspense. All right. So let's do the villain first. You know me, I like to think outside the box. So my villain is the red October <laugh> submarine from the Hunt for Red October. Not the guy driving it, the submarine itself. A typhoon class ballistic submarine with a Caterpillar driver. Are you undetectable to passive sonar? It lurks underground trying to defeat its enemies, pulling the strings from underwater.
Speaker 4 00:11:48 I'm not gonna lie, this may be my favorite choice of all time.
Speaker 6 00:11:52 <laugh>.
Speaker 3 00:11:52 Is,
Speaker 1 00:11:53 Is it in Okay. In your interpretation of this, Is it sentient?
Speaker 5 00:11:56 Yeah. This is like cars. <laugh> got a face.
Speaker 1 00:12:01 Oh God. Yeah. That makes it even good, you know? Now I've kind regretted we haven't covered cars yet.
Speaker 2 00:12:09 Cars too is allegedly terrible movie.
Speaker 1 00:12:13 You know what? I do have a soft spots for it and I can't wait till we cover it. Cause it You
Speaker 2 00:12:19 Wanna come back for that since this was where
Speaker 5 00:12:21 Idea. Wait, why is Cars to a spy movie?
Speaker 1 00:12:23 It's a spy movie. <laugh>.
Speaker 5 00:12:25 Is this like how Paddington won is a, is a spy movie? Cuz it is
Speaker 1 00:12:28 Not that I don't agree with espionage.
Speaker 5 00:12:32 What about the whole part where they're like repelling into the castle?
Speaker 1 00:12:35 There may be spy action in it. It's not movie.
Speaker 5 00:12:39 Okay, fine.
Speaker 1 00:12:40 Anyways, we're getting off topic here.
Speaker 5 00:12:43 Okay, so henchman of course is the Japanese Battleship Ya from Torah. Torah, Torah.
Speaker 2 00:12:53 I thought you would have reverse. I know the battleship would be the big bad.
Speaker 5 00:12:56 No, see, well you said that had to be not the rules, right? So is the battleship like kind of the main villain in Pearl Harbor slash to maybe? Yes.
Speaker 2 00:13:05 The planes are Oh,
Speaker 5 00:13:06 The planes are I Well, no, cause well, you also see with my other picks why the henchman is the,
Speaker 1 00:13:12 But
Speaker 5 00:13:12 It's also, you see aboveground arm because like the red October underwater being sneaky is like, makes more sense to me as the villain. The guy go find him. Whereas your model's just in your face throwing your hat. You like odd job. Right. You know,
Speaker 2 00:13:28 That makes total sense. Totally.
Speaker 5 00:13:30 Obviously, you know,
Speaker 4 00:13:33 I quit
Speaker 6 00:13:35 <laugh>.
Speaker 4 00:13:36 This, this team is is already unstoppable. I, I I'm done.
Speaker 1 00:13:41 Oh man,
Speaker 2 00:13:42 Lance, you're the champion. You can't just give up.
Speaker 4 00:13:44 Oh yes I can. I I can abdicate my, my throne.
Speaker 3 00:13:49 You go pass over the,
Speaker 2 00:13:51 You got three picks left. Go up with something. Good.
Speaker 3 00:13:54 Okay, Lance, here up again.
Speaker 4 00:13:56 <laugh>. Well, I'm, I'm definitely not doing henchman next, that's for sure. All right. So I guess, we'll we haven't done this one yet, so I'll go ahead and pick my, my female lead for our Bond movie. This one was kind of difficult. There's lots of good choices. Um, but I also kind of wanted to stick with my, uh, action and nerd universes Uniting <laugh>. So I went with Melinda May, was played by Ming. No win from Agents' Shield.
Speaker 2 00:14:30 Good choice
Speaker 4 00:14:32 For all kinds of obvious reasons. She's smart, she's tough, she's badass. She's, you know, gorgeous. I mean, check, check, bring check, bring
Speaker 3 00:14:42 In the
Speaker 4 00:14:42 Gal. Bring double check. So if there's anybody that can compete with Yamamoto,
Speaker 1 00:14:48 It's
Speaker 5 00:14:49 <laugh>.
Speaker 1 00:14:51 Melinda maid, the cavalry. Yeah.
Speaker 2 00:14:55 It is a good choice. I can't really argue against it.
Speaker 1 00:14:58 She is. She was on my short list.
Speaker 3 00:15:00 Good choice. Yeah. So how many total characters do you think you guys have to draw from
Speaker 2 00:15:04 A lot hundred episodes
Speaker 3 00:15:06 With your episodes? Yeah,
Speaker 4 00:15:08 I got a lot of backup. Just
Speaker 1 00:15:10 Sure enough. <laugh>. That's all right. Oh, is that on me now? Yeah.
Speaker 3 00:15:15 Perfect. Yeah. Now we're on a Christian again. Go ahead.
Speaker 1 00:15:17 I'm gonna have to do this. All right. So I'm gonna deal with my villain next. So I figured, all right, we're gonna go with a Cold War era. Not necessarily sixties, but, you know, Cold War. So I started thinking about, all right, who, what kind of bond villain would be interesting to see, You know, Magda go up against, wouldn't be in, I don't want it to have an obvious all we'll take over the world plot. I wanted someone who was more down to earth. We have such a out there, you know, James Bond already. So someone wore down earth. So I said, All right, who's a real life person I could use? Let me think about this. Cold War. Um, who's someone, What about the person who probably had the biggest leak of information to the Soviets from the fbi? Mm-hmm. <affirmative>. What about Robert Hanson?
Speaker 4 00:16:09 See, that was my number two choice.
Speaker 1 00:16:11 <laugh>. So yeah, my villain will be Robert Hanson from Breach as played by Chris Cooper.
Speaker 2 00:16:18 I always liked there was real life guys. You know me. I wanna see the part where he tells James Bond. He's gonna make him piss purple
Speaker 1 00:16:25 <laugh>.
Speaker 3 00:16:27 It's a pretty scary one.
Speaker 2 00:16:29 <laugh>, certainly very memorable.
Speaker 3 00:16:31 Are we're gonna have Eric O'Neil in there as well.
Speaker 1 00:16:35 He could make a cameo. Uhhuh,
Speaker 2 00:16:36 You could be the guy who dies in the opening, uh, credit. Ooh,
Speaker 1 00:16:40 Interesting. <laugh>. I like that.
Speaker 2 00:16:42 It's like alternative timeline where he figures it out. You move my PO pilot bla land plan, or wait, you move my pilot throws him into a shark cage.
Speaker 3 00:16:50 Okay. And then let's move back to Z
Speaker 2 00:16:52 I'm gonna pick my bond next. The bo this mantra will set the tone for the whole movie. I feel like I have pound the perfect bond because he is adaptable. He's a war veteran. Men love him. Women love him. He charms the hearts of everyone he meets, including his superiors. He saves people's lives. He defeats enemy spies. He has a very particular ability that most people do not have.
Speaker 6 00:17:16 <laugh>
Speaker 2 00:17:19 In a very distinctive clothing. I'm referring of course, to Sergeant Stubby, stubby hero
Speaker 3 00:17:32 Expected.
Speaker 1 00:17:32 Would you say a very particular set of skills? I thought you were gonna have Liam Neons from Taken. So you have Nissan Von
Speaker 5 00:17:39 That is Dang an all neon draft.
Speaker 2 00:17:44 Or I, I could have a Nissan be Henchman. And that's two Neons versus James Bond.
Speaker 3 00:17:49 Quiet on Jim.
Speaker 4 00:17:51 Oh,
Speaker 3 00:17:52 Yeah. But now we got Sergeant Stubby. But
Speaker 2 00:17:54 Yeah. So my James Bond movie is a movie where the hero is a dog.
Speaker 3 00:17:58 <laugh>. Aw, when is this coming out? I'm ready.
Speaker 2 00:18:01 And I would like you to imagine in your head, Sergeant Stubby wearing a tuxedo. Oh,
Speaker 1 00:18:06 That's cute. That's, I
Speaker 4 00:18:07 Already can, I already did. I'm not a lie about that. Done.
Speaker 3 00:18:10 Mm-hmm. <affirmative>
Speaker 1 00:18:11 Just tuxedo and doing a little salute
Speaker 2 00:18:13 <laugh>. And now it's back to me. Unless anyone has any thoughts.
Speaker 4 00:18:17 Look, usually Zach, I criticize your choices a lot.
Speaker 3 00:18:20 Can he speak English
Speaker 2 00:18:22 <laugh>? He doesn't talk.
Speaker 4 00:18:24 I can't do that this time. I
Speaker 3 00:18:26 Can't do that.
Speaker 1 00:18:29 I mean, he already does know his way around Paris.
Speaker 2 00:18:32 Yeah. He's served overseas.
Speaker 3 00:18:35 Does he have a passport? Yeah, he's got the qualifications.
Speaker 2 00:18:38 All right, so now I'm gonna do my bond. Girl. There's a few good possibilities here, but I thought for a movie where the hero was the dog, who else are you gonna pair with a dog then? A kid? So my bottom girl is Harriet, the Spy
Speaker 3 00:18:52 <laugh>. Oh,
Speaker 1 00:18:55 Okay. All right. All right.
Speaker 2 00:18:57 She understands him. She speaks for him. She investigates. He comes along and they are at the perfect duo to defeat Michael Collins. <laugh>.
Speaker 3 00:19:10 I'm, I'm ready. I'm ready for this movie. I gotta say mm-hmm. <affirmative>.
Speaker 1 00:19:13 All right. All right.
Speaker 4 00:19:14 I have so many conflicting thoughts about that.
Speaker 3 00:19:17 <laugh>, <laugh>,
Speaker 1 00:19:18 Cu Stubby and Michael Collins are around the same time period.
Speaker 2 00:19:22 Michael Collins is alive for the Easter uprising, alive and active for the Easter uprising, which is during World War I.
Speaker 3 00:19:28 Well, I'm enjoying how different these movies are turning out to be <laugh>.
Speaker 2 00:19:33 Try to be unexpected.
Speaker 3 00:19:34 Yeah. Yeah. Their own genres. <laugh>. So these are excellent.
Speaker 1 00:19:40 All right.
Speaker 3 00:19:41 Back to me. Okay, Sue. Shall we go back to Christian? Yep.
Speaker 1 00:19:44 Hmm. All right. So for my henchmen, I figured I needed to get someone who can make up for de let's say, deficiencies in Robert Hanson in terms of who he, what he is. And I had two ways to go by this, and I'm still Hmm, which way? Actually, I think that would be fun. All right. So I, he, you know, he is, he, yes, he's good at stealing intelligence, but he needs someone to be out there actually doing stuff for him. He needs someone who could be a courier for him, who can get out of weird situations. You know what he needs? He needs the Greeno who always delivers. He needs Barry Seal as played by Tom Cruise from American Maid <laugh>.
Speaker 2 00:20:31 I attack Cruise would show up sooner or later.
Speaker 1 00:20:33 <laugh> <affirmative>. I mean, I, I couldn't have as the main character, like, you know, as a, as a henchman, I think it would be hilarious to, So to have Tom Cruise as a side character, as a henchman, he is able to get, you know, get anything that, uh, Robert Hanson needs by, you know, anything, by just fly, being able to fly and get things for him. Drop off, make drops.
Speaker 3 00:20:55 He's got his airplane.
Speaker 1 00:20:55 Yep. He's got his airplane. Okay. He's got his big, both his big airplane, his, you know, which, you know, currently is now in Costa Rica, which we saw the inside of, which is pretty cool. Mm-hmm.
Speaker 3 00:21:08 <affirmative>
Speaker 1 00:21:09 Pre, you know, him being gunned down by the me and Cartel,
Speaker 2 00:21:12 He's not exactly a physical threat to Magni. Is he? <laugh>?
Speaker 1 00:21:18 No, but how many, I mean, yeah, he's more of a comical sidekick kind of deal.
Speaker 2 00:21:24 <laugh>. Oh, he is like Otis from Superman.
Speaker 1 00:21:27 Yeah, a little bit. He's, you know, he's there. And so it also provides a little levity into the film. Cuz you know, Robert Hanson is definitely serious and he's a good counterpart. Yeah.
Speaker 3 00:21:40 How are they gonna do against Magnis superpowers?
Speaker 1 00:21:43 Well,
Speaker 2 00:21:44 He's gonna have to watch the movie and see, that's what I always say.
Speaker 1 00:21:47 The way I'm in my mind, he has them, but he doesn't like to show them a lot. So he, it's not, they're not well known. So he might use them in very subtle ways, be it, you know, if he's throwing a knife, he can make sure make, use his powers to make it go extra straight right into where he wants it. But it's not obvious to your average person. It's why he seems like he can do anything as James Bond.
Speaker 2 00:22:11 Hmm. I met a textual explanation.
Speaker 1 00:22:13 Yeah.
Speaker 4 00:22:14 Hmm. Jeff like it
Speaker 3 00:22:17 Okay. Sounds, sounds good. Sounds good. Should we move on to Lance?
Speaker 4 00:22:21 I'm gonna go ahead and keep going down the order. Uh, I'm gonna go with for villain next. Wanted to do something a little different, Mix it up a little bit. And while I think with my first two picks, I was doing my best to unite two different fandoms. My next one's probably going to really piss off <laugh> the main fandom.
Speaker 2 00:22:42 All right.
Speaker 4 00:22:44 Cause I, I wanted to find someone who, um, was tough, intriguing, um, mysterious, strong leadership qualities, uh, ruthless though. Um, but you know, at times, you know, Ken show a little bit of sense of compassion, kind of like with what Zach was talking about earlier. And this was tough for me. This was really tough for me. But I think it's the best choice. And I'm using kink to the rules. My villain is m played by Judy Den.
Speaker 1 00:23:17 <laugh>. Yeah.
Speaker 2 00:23:18 She's basically a villain anyway. Always telling Judy Bob what to do.
Speaker 1 00:23:21 Have we, hold on, Have we covered a movie with Judy?
Speaker 2 00:23:26 We covered No Time to Die.
Speaker 5 00:23:28 She said that was Ralph Fes, Ray Fes, whatever you pronounce it.
Speaker 4 00:23:33 <laugh>.
Speaker 1 00:23:34 Oh yeah,
Speaker 2 00:23:35 Sorry, Lance. Yeah. I don't think we've covered one with, um, as not Emma, as Judy Dench, Emma's other people. Wait,
Speaker 1 00:23:40 Hold on. We've got Robert Brown. We've had Hold on. Hold. Um, what's his face? Original m Bernard Lee. We've had every m besides him, <laugh> or rather the
Speaker 5 00:23:53 Technicality.
Speaker 4 00:23:55 Oh, that was the wrong casino.
Speaker 5 00:23:56 It was, uh, Judy s on the Avengers. Right. That was, um, what's your face on one of Tyrell?
Speaker 1 00:24:03 Oh no, that's, yeah, that is, uh,
Speaker 2 00:24:05 Diana Reg.
Speaker 1 00:24:06 Yeah.
Speaker 5 00:24:07 Yeah. Dan's r's close enough when she's older.
Speaker 2 00:24:11 No, we have not, we have not covered a movie where old Diana Reg is at.
Speaker 3 00:24:19 She'd be a good choice too.
Speaker 4 00:24:22 Do it. Hold on. Double checking
Speaker 1 00:24:24 There. All of them.
Speaker 3 00:24:25 Fact checking.
Speaker 5 00:24:29 Yeah.
Speaker 4 00:24:31 Damnit
Speaker 2 00:24:32 <laugh>.
Speaker 1 00:24:33 Yeah. No, that was, cause you know, around 1967, we covered not 2000.
Speaker 4 00:24:38 Could I use a complete Technic account and say that she was part of the original James Bond draft?
Speaker 2 00:24:45 No, that's, damn
Speaker 4 00:24:46 It.
Speaker 2 00:24:46 It's just TV show that we've done.
Speaker 5 00:24:49 But they didn't cover the movie in the draft. You know, not same thing
Speaker 1 00:24:55 Though,
Speaker 2 00:24:56 <laugh>. Yeah.
Speaker 4 00:24:57 All right. So I went, need time to repair that one. So we'll go ahead and switch to Villa and then if I can.
Speaker 1 00:25:02 All right. Good.
Speaker 4 00:25:04 All right. So back to uniting two Phantoms Gang. Except first we were doing action, um, and Nerdiness. Now we're gonna go action and comedy. Um, somebody who would've been a great counter to em's, Judy Den, I think, um, it would definitely a right hand person, always dependable, uh, gets the job done, but also has a bit of a humorous streak to him to break, bring some levity. Uh, so Money henchman is going to be No, no, no. Then, uh, Top Secrets Chocolate Moose played by Eddie to go,
Speaker 2 00:25:44 Wow, that's a deep cut. Cut. Chocolate moose. Huh?
Speaker 4 00:25:49 Chocolate moose.
Speaker 2 00:25:50 One of the French resistance fighters and Top secret. Exactly.
Speaker 1 00:25:56 Wow, I forgot about that. All right.
Speaker 4 00:26:00 He's always there. He's dependable. Somehow he can pull a Gatling machine gun out of a backpack.
Speaker 1 00:26:07 That's right.
Speaker 4 00:26:09 He's just everywhere. You, you need a henchman to me. Andy has, he's European. He's got a great French accent.
Speaker 2 00:26:17 <laugh>. I mean, that's an absurd enough name to fit in a James Bon Boy
Speaker 1 00:26:21 <laugh>.
Speaker 4 00:26:21 Exactly.
Speaker 1 00:26:23 Okay.
Speaker 2 00:26:26 That's a good choice. Lance, only the top secret reference.
Speaker 1 00:26:29 Yeah. Yeah.
Speaker 4 00:26:32 Okay. All
Speaker 3 00:26:33 I don't think I have, I, did I watch that impression?
Speaker 1 00:26:36 Yes.
Speaker 2 00:26:37 Is, it's the one with Val Kilmer where he sings like Elvis. You'd remember it, I think.
Speaker 1 00:26:42 No, maybe not, Huh? Well, we should
Speaker 4 00:26:44 Not to mention Top Secret has probably what in the Wrong Hands could be used as the most improper bird? Not Safer Work torture device.
Speaker 1 00:26:54 Oh, <laugh>
Speaker 4 00:26:57 Christian. Got it. Yeah.
Speaker 1 00:26:59 <laugh>. We will leave that to all of our fans of Top Secret out there and they can figure it out.
Speaker 3 00:27:03 Yes. You'll, you'll
Speaker 4 00:27:04 Have
Speaker 3 00:27:04 Google.com that episode to find out. Perfect. All right. Excellent choice. Um, so then let's move on to Alana.
Speaker 5 00:27:14 All right. For our Bond girl and our bond that go with our villains, The Red October and the Yama. So we're Bond girl. We have the USS Nevada from Pearl Harbor.
Speaker 3 00:27:30 <laugh>.
Speaker 5 00:27:30 Heroically tries to escape the bay to let the other ships out, is damaged, but revitalize and fights in the war. Has history with the Yamato motivation to take her down. Also, ships are women, obviously all
Speaker 4 00:27:44 Obviously,
Speaker 5 00:27:45 Obviously
Speaker 3 00:27:46 <laugh>. Clearly,
Speaker 5 00:27:47 Clearly. Wasn't
Speaker 2 00:27:49 There a Sim Bond movie where the Bond girl had like a score to settle with the villain at There's probably more than one.
Speaker 5 00:27:54 Multiple. More
Speaker 1 00:27:55 Than one. A lot
Speaker 5 00:27:56 Of them, Yeah. Yeah. Oh yeah.
Speaker 4 00:27:58 It was Solace was probably
Speaker 5 00:27:59 Now Traditions.
Speaker 2 00:28:01 Yeah. License to Kill. I think
Speaker 1 00:28:03 Also that, Yes. Oh
Speaker 4 00:28:05 Yeah. Living daylights.
Speaker 2 00:28:07 Let's list them all. No, I'm just kidding.
Speaker 3 00:28:09 <laugh>.
Speaker 5 00:28:13 Yeah,
Speaker 1 00:28:13 He just, of that
Speaker 2 00:28:16 Another Battle Chef. Interesting.
Speaker 5 00:28:18 Yeah. Two bad, two battleships. All we can all Let's just do bot. All right. So who would team up with the Nevada to find the red? October? The Nevada is not equipped to find it. We need an advanced spy plane with all the bells and whistles, with style, with flare. That could hold a lot of people. None other than the bus from agents of Shield has a inside of it. That's like a James Bond car.
Speaker 1 00:28:45 All right. All right. <laugh>.
Speaker 5 00:28:47 And it could turn visible. Good.
Speaker 2 00:28:49 I thought you were gonna do another Shep. Cause the only three are shes,
Speaker 5 00:28:52 Yeah, well it's like underwater midwater air. You know, you get, you get a spectrum
Speaker 1 00:28:58 All
Speaker 3 00:29:00 Water. I feel like it could go underwater on the water,
Speaker 5 00:29:04 The
Speaker 3 00:29:04 Bus. I don't, I'm curious.
Speaker 5 00:29:07 That's the copper can, I think, but I don't know about the bus itself.
Speaker 2 00:29:11 So, Alana, what does the last shot of your movie look like?
Speaker 5 00:29:16 Like, like the Nevada and the bus, like cruising together.
Speaker 2 00:29:22 Not like them, like making out somehow. Oh,
Speaker 5 00:29:25 Gross.
Speaker 2 00:29:26 The last sos one movies traditionally yet,
Speaker 3 00:29:29 So
Speaker 5 00:29:29 I had no time to die ended.
Speaker 2 00:29:31 Oh, that's too soon. Oh
Speaker 3 00:29:34 Damn.
Speaker 5 00:29:36 I guess it was time to die.
Speaker 4 00:29:41 Just get cold. Really?
Speaker 2 00:29:42 That was ice cold. Like the bottom of the Pacific Ocean.
Speaker 5 00:29:45 Right. Where the red October hangs out
Speaker 4 00:29:48 And the yada ends up.
Speaker 3 00:29:50 Yeah.
Speaker 2 00:29:51 Also
Speaker 3 00:29:52 Too, enjoy this, Enjoy This. All's not here. I think it's beautiful. The
Speaker 5 00:30:00 Greatest movie that'll never be made
Speaker 3 00:30:02 <laugh>. I dunno, You can start pitching it. Someone, someone, someone might take you up on that. I can see it.
Speaker 4 00:30:11 I would definitely watch it twice.
Speaker 3 00:30:13 <laugh>. All right. Well with with Alana is picks in. Let's move back to Lance, see if he's thought of a new Bond villain.
Speaker 4 00:30:21 Okay. So I had to come up with a new one, obviously, cuz I can't read years very well.
Speaker 2 00:30:26 Mm-hmm. <affirmative>, um,
Speaker 1 00:30:28 <laugh>.
Speaker 4 00:30:29 But again, I, I wanted to, to still stick with, you know, somebody who was, um, strong, independent, you know, somebody that could definitely give, uh, Napoleon Solo Bond, a run for his money. Uh, maybe not necessarily the head of, you know, an organization. Kind of like how most Bond villains weren't, you know, they didn't run Specter. They were still agents of Specter though. Now also a movie that, that, uh, you've covered that helped. Um, so I am going to go with her. Samantha Kane played by Gina Davis from The Long Kiss. Goodnight.
Speaker 2 00:31:08 Excellent choice.
Speaker 1 00:31:09 That's a good call.
Speaker 2 00:31:10 I think you mean Charlie Friday or whatever Real Hair is. Yes.
Speaker 4 00:31:14 <laugh>. Well see that that was her, her other name. So she's got that, you know, whole alias thing going on. Is she This is, she did, Is she brunette? Is she the blonde? You know, is she the mom down the street that no one suspects as being a super master criminal, but yet she is.
Speaker 2 00:31:32 Hmm. Is this for the henchman or the bond girl? Sorry.
Speaker 4 00:31:35 No, this is for villain,
Speaker 2 00:31:37 The main villa. Oh, okay.
Speaker 3 00:31:38 Yeah, yeah.
Speaker 2 00:31:39 Wait, I think her name is Charlie Friday. It's something equally absurd, right?
Speaker 1 00:31:44 Charlie, Charlie, Baltimore. You're right, Alana.
Speaker 2 00:31:47 Yeah. That's, that's a good choice. She's very scary. Okay. If she's scared Samuel Jackson, you know, she's scary.
Speaker 4 00:31:54 But yeah, she can, she can go from from sexy to innocent to scary with the drop of a, a dime. So that's why I think she one,
Speaker 3 00:32:02 Push it back to you.
Speaker 1 00:32:04 All right. So for my last choice for categories that we know about, uh, I have my female lead, my bond woman. And so I thought about this. All right, so we've got Robert Hansen, his main, you know, he basically invented, uh, cyber, you know, cyber espionage. So we need someone and our Magni or James Bond, he can manipulate, you know, metal and, but he can't ne he doesn't necessarily know how to hack. So he needs someone who is good at tech. And maybe it would help if they're a fellow I six agent who is very, you know, very capable is work, you know, But maybe she's, you know, I want them, there be some friction between them. So maybe she's more used to working with a team rather than just one person. So I have picked Kadeja, a DMA from the 3 55 as played as by Luongo. Ah,
Speaker 2 00:33:03 Uh, the 3 55. I remember that movie.
Speaker 1 00:33:07 Yeah. So I, I mean, I enjoy, I know I enjoyed that movie. I thought, um, Luongo did a great job there. She's, you know, kind of combination, you know, Q and Bond girl for, for this. And so she can help out, you know, Magni with all of the tech stuff I could. I I think they're almost age appropriate that I could see a romance happening. <laugh>,
Speaker 2 00:33:29 It helps that she's British too. You have at least one British person in there. Yeah. Mm-hmm. <affirmative>. Yeah. Very nice.
Speaker 1 00:33:36 Yeah. So it's the British versus the Americans, basically.
Speaker 2 00:33:39 Yeah.
Speaker 3 00:33:41 All right. Should we head back to Zach for the finishing up?
Speaker 2 00:33:46 Sergeant Stubby and Harriet are all of running all over Ireland causing general mayhem. Even Michael Collins can't stop them. All of his tricks, he's helpless. So he thinks to himself, I need to get that dog. And who else you can use to animal than another. That is why Henchman is Lance Sterling
Speaker 4 00:34:12 Almost won money on that one.
Speaker 2 00:34:15 Imagine fight. It turns a ball of dust and then little like legs, like stick out. That's what the fights look like.
Speaker 1 00:34:22 <laugh>, I considered him as my bond for a hot set.
Speaker 2 00:34:27 As a pigeon or not as a pigeon?
Speaker 1 00:34:30 <laugh>. Both. As both. He's able to control it. Yeah. It's all
Speaker 3 00:34:37 Right. I'm, I'm seeing the vision
Speaker 2 00:34:39 Here. I got this on lockdown.
Speaker 3 00:34:42 Okay, so everyone was drafted four times. So it's time for the bonus round. I thought of this bonus round before the picks happened. So I'm curious on how this is gonna go. Exactly. So bonus round, what I was thinking was, um, I wanna hear your choice, uh, for, and you can choose, um, either, uh, Animal Sidekick or evil villain Pet <laugh>. Uh,
Speaker 1 00:35:11 All right. Wait, does this have to be from a movie recovered or just in general? Like any kind of,
Speaker 3 00:35:16 I think in general, but it can be, it would be good if it was from your pick, from your, your Rolodex too.
Speaker 2 00:35:24 Yeah. Cause I think I used all, both the animals that we done in movies,
Speaker 3 00:35:28 <laugh>, Zach already got 'em figured out. Yeah. I would say just in general, it could be even just a general animal or a specific animal.
Speaker 5 00:35:38 So not from a Spotify guys covered thing, or like in general.
Speaker 3 00:35:42 It doesn't have to be, Yeah.
Speaker 1 00:35:43 I mean, bonus points if you can make it
Speaker 3 00:35:46 <laugh>, but somebody that would fit into your film.
Speaker 2 00:35:49 I have one. So this may be kind of avoiding the spirit of the question. Carolyn. I apologize for that.
Speaker 3 00:35:58 <laugh>. All right, well, you already got two animals. So,
Speaker 2 00:36:02 So, Sergeant Stubby is not in fact the most decorated dog in US military history. He is the most decorated dog of World War One. The most decorated dog of World War II was a dog named Chips. So at the end of my movie, Chips will appear as a tiny little puppy that gets taken under Sergeant Stubs wing to learn how to become the next James Bond.
Speaker 3 00:36:26 Oh, that's pretty cute though.
Speaker 1 00:36:29 Oh, man.
Speaker 5 00:36:31 All right. I have an idea, but I need Carolyn to allow it.
Speaker 3 00:36:35 Okay. Are we, are we going the same
Speaker 1 00:36:37 Order,
Speaker 5 00:36:37 <laugh>, or, Oh yeah. Or what's the order?
Speaker 1 00:36:39 Oh, yeah, yeah. Just so is it made back
Speaker 3 00:36:41 To me, back to Christian If, I
Speaker 5 00:36:44 Mean, if people need time to think, like, you know, we could go outta order.
Speaker 3 00:36:48 Do you have one Christian, or,
Speaker 1 00:36:51 I think I, I've got, I've got, I've got one art. My James Bond is me or Magni is gonna have an animal sidekick rather than the villain having a sidekick. And it's gonna be someone who, a survivor like him, someone who's had to live through treachery, and it's gonna be someone who survive, you know, survived a really big event. It's the dog from Pro Harbor, who, who survived from the, from the ship. We see him and then we see him at the very end swing back onto a boat because he's alive.
Speaker 2 00:37:30 Pearl Harbor since Pearl Harbor
Speaker 3 00:37:38 From Pearl Harbor.
Speaker 2 00:37:39 I do kind of remember that dog though.
Speaker 3 00:37:41 <laugh> <laugh>.
Speaker 1 00:37:42 Mm-hmm. <affirmative> <laugh>.
Speaker 3 00:37:44 All right. Perfect. Lance, do you have one or do you want us to come back to you?
Speaker 4 00:37:49 I'm kind of curious what Alana needs clarification for. So I will default him. Do Alana.
Speaker 5 00:37:55 Well, I mean, you know, my, my draft picks are not people. So how strict are we being on this animal? Can I just pick like a sidekick type that we can, like anthropomorphize as an animal?
Speaker 3 00:38:07 Uh, I would say sure.
Speaker 5 00:38:09 Great. Can't, was trying to like an evil like secret.
Speaker 3 00:38:15 As long as it's a cute boat.
Speaker 5 00:38:17 Cute plane, cute plane. Two children can fit inside of it. <laugh>, it's the RX Express from Spy Kids.
Speaker 3 00:38:26 <laugh>. Oh,
Speaker 2 00:38:27 Come on. That's a small plane.
Speaker 5 00:38:30 Yeah. Created by Machete itself. Oh,
Speaker 3 00:38:33 Mm-hmm. <affirmative>. Okay. And what would this, um, <laugh>? Would this be the, this would be the animal sidekick, not the
Speaker 5 00:38:39 Villain. Yeah, this would be like the, the villain's animal side kick.
Speaker 2 00:38:43 Oh, the villain side. Oh
Speaker 5 00:38:44 Wait, the villain. Wait, did we, we see it was a hero, The villain? It could be either, either. I guess it makes more sense as the heroes, doesn't it?
Speaker 2 00:38:51 Yeah, it does. Yeah.
Speaker 5 00:38:52 Okay. The heroes. Sorry, I thought it had to be the villain sidekick and I was like, fine with that. But yeah, it makes more sense this way. All what? Keep playing what's best. I just looked it up on Bing Images.
Speaker 1 00:39:06 <laugh>.
Speaker 5 00:39:06 Yeah. I dunno. My computers set to Bing. I need to fix it.
Speaker 2 00:39:10 Get those rewards.
Speaker 1 00:39:12 Are you also using a Microsoft? Yeah.
Speaker 5 00:39:14 Right, Exactly.
Speaker 3 00:39:15 <laugh>. Now let's go to Lance.
Speaker 4 00:39:18 I'm trying to Google just to see if there was, think I found my answer that, that there wa were German Shepherds in the movie. Valery
Speaker 1 00:39:30 <laugh>. Yeah.
Speaker 2 00:39:31 At least in the part where they're getting executed, I think
Speaker 1 00:39:34 <laugh>. Yeah. Oh.
Speaker 4 00:39:36 So I'm going to use the, uh, evil Nazi German Shepherds as my villainous animal sidekick.
Speaker 2 00:39:46 Oh dear.
Speaker 1 00:39:48 <laugh>
Speaker 3 00:39:49 German Shepherd. Do they get stroked on the head?
Speaker 4 00:39:55 Oh yeah. And by Gina Davis.
Speaker 2 00:39:57 Oh, that's,
Speaker 1 00:39:59 You know, Alright. That's actually, yeah,
Speaker 4 00:40:02 I mean, it's both hot and terrifying all at the same time as it should be
Speaker 1 00:40:06 <laugh>
Speaker 3 00:40:08 As, as any good movie would make it be. Yes.
Speaker 4 00:40:12 And ery obviously was covered by, so I got that going for me.
Speaker 1 00:40:17 It was, it was one of our early ones. Yeah.
Speaker 3 00:40:21 All right. I like it. Um, can I ask you guys to go around and just give me like a, a ten second like, summary of your, of your movie just to kind of recap for 30 seconds, whatever, however short you can. Sure. Mm-hmm. <affirmative>. Cause Now, now, now I need to know how this all kind of fits together now, now that we got the whole thing going on <laugh>. So we can go in any order or Zach, do you wanna
Speaker 2 00:40:46 Uh, Yeah, sure. So my bond to Sergeant Stuby in a tuxedo teaming up with Harriet, the spy to take on Michael Collins and his sidekick slash henchman Lance Sterling as a pigeon
Speaker 5 00:41:00 And the animal sidekick
Speaker 2 00:41:02 <laugh>. And then at the end, uh, Chips makes an appearance as a tiny little puppy.
Speaker 5 00:41:06 Aw,
Speaker 3 00:41:08 <laugh>. So the next generation, All right. That's right. James Bond. The next generation.
Speaker 2 00:41:12 James Bond, Jr. You might say,
Speaker 1 00:41:16 Oh,
Speaker 3 00:41:17 Okay.
Speaker 1 00:41:17 No one can stop him, but SCM always trapped <laugh>. All right,
Speaker 3 00:41:22 Christian, that's your movie. All
Speaker 1 00:41:25 Right. So we have Mar James Bond played by Magni from Xmen first class, who is a told he is, has to stop the biggest breach of information going to the Soviet Union, which is he discovers is caused by Robert Hanson. And knowing his ineptitude at hacking and anything computer related, he decides he needs another, a fellow I six agent to help him out who is Kadeja from the 3 55. And they go after him and they encounter Barry Seal, who is working with Robert Hanson, who tries to stop them, but they easily overcome him because he's not very <laugh>. And you know, he gives up the information that leads him right to right to Hansen. But unfortunately Robert Hanson knows they're coming. He quickly causes a trap for him, which got, gets Kadeja captured, and Mag Nito goes home. He spends one night brooding with his pet dog, who he's named Arizona, because it survived the sinking of the Arizona <laugh> and his dog, you know, very, you know, nozzles up to him saying, No, you can do this. You can go get, you can go rescue the girl and, and defeat the villain. So he goes back and ves the full might of his mutant powers and uses it defeat Robert. He escapes with Kadeja, who plays a role in going up against Barry CEO because he decided I should probably try to help my boss out again, but gets quickly defeated by Kadeja. I
Speaker 2 00:43:08 Like the softer side of Magni
Speaker 1 00:43:10 <laugh>
Speaker 3 00:43:12 Hanging out with his dog, getting inspiration
Speaker 1 00:43:15 Like mm-hmm. <affirmative>. Yeah, he, he, I needed to work the dog here somewhere.
Speaker 3 00:43:19 All right, Lance,
Speaker 4 00:43:20 What we have is your, your typical threat to world stabilization. There have been assassinations of, uh, NATO leaders, espionage at different military bases throughout the uk, US Germany, uh, so on and so forth. Um, and the only suspect that we see is, um, this rather large, uh, Frenchman named Chocolate Moose. Um, so obviously am I six has to get involved. And they send their most dashing three piece suit wearing, dare I say, panty dropping or under a dropping even Napoleon solo. And because it's a multinational type thing, obviously he has to link up with, um, somebody from the cia, which we know from no time nine previous bond movies was always Felix Slider while we were now introducing Felicity Lighter, played by um, Ming No when. So she's got that character going on. Um, and then we have this, you know, whole, you know, chase of Asian thing going on.
Speaker 4 00:44:35 They're trying to track down Chocolate Moose. Um, occasionally we see one of Bonds neighbors from down the street, uh, the very attractive, uh, Gina Davis or as we know are there as Samantha Kane, but later we find out when Chocolate mooses German Shepherds run up to her, like they're going to attack her and rip her apart, they stop and they start lick your hand. And then we realize, oh my God, this is actually Charlie Baltimore, the evil mastermind behind all of these different things. And then, so you have this fantastic fight between Gina Davis and Minga when, while Chocolate Moose and uh, Henry Cable are going back and forth, obviously the good guys win. Chocolate moose we think is dead. But then later at the very end credits, we have a, uh, Marvel type end scene where SL Moose decide. Cause he can't die. He is low crawling out from the water because we're fi they're fighting on an aircraft carrier. Just to kind of go with Alana theme,
Speaker 2 00:45:42 <laugh>
Speaker 4 00:45:42 Nice. And we find out Schuck Moose did not die in vows. Revenge.
Speaker 2 00:45:47 Yeah. People can't die. This is the James Bond movie.
Speaker 3 00:45:50 <laugh>
Speaker 4 00:45:51 Always, Oh wait,
Speaker 3 00:45:53 Gotta be back for the sequel <laugh>. Very good. Very good. And last but not least, we have Lana and her
Speaker 5 00:46:03 And my fleet
Speaker 3 00:46:05 <laugh>. Yes. Fleet. Yep.
Speaker 5 00:46:08 All right. So we have, that's
Speaker 3 00:46:09 About your movie.
Speaker 5 00:46:11 The Bond. James Bond is the bus, and we have by the bond girls use this Nevada, we have the henchman of the Japanese Battle of Yada, and the villain is the red October. And our animal sidekick slash cute sidekick appreciate flexibility is the RX Express learning, the ropes of being a spy plane from the bus, the bigger batter spy plane. So we have the red October threatening New York City with a nuclear attack cuz it's super advanced nuclear technology. It can't be detected by sonar. That's still trying to evade, you know, defenses. I don't know. And we have the Yamato just causing interfere on strong attention away from the red October so we can get in position for its attack. And then the bus and the Nevada are trying to find the red October, but also defeat the Yamato. And we have the back history between the Nevada, Nevada and the Yama from Pearl Harbor trying to get their revenge from all those years ago. And then, you know, they find them and they torpedo them or something. <laugh> naval a big naval battle at the end of course.
Speaker 2 00:47:16 Ooh. Like Thunderball.
Speaker 5 00:47:18 <laugh>
Speaker 1 00:47:21 <laugh>. Now I gotta ask in this, in your universe, do they have like each of the eyes, like at their, when shes his eyes? Like,
Speaker 5 00:47:30 I guess so I don't really know how else would work
Speaker 2 00:47:34 With
Speaker 5 00:47:35 Yeah, totally.
Speaker 2 00:47:38 Can I ask another bonus question? Which is what celebrity voice would voice? Ooh,
Speaker 5 00:47:48 Interest Elba is the bus of course. Like it is the RX Express.
Speaker 3 00:47:55 Who, who
Speaker 5 00:47:56 Is that? Michael Sarah <laugh>. Oh,
Speaker 2 00:48:00 Keith. David is the go-to bad guy Voice.
Speaker 5 00:48:03 That's true. But it should be like Russian, right? Cause it's the red October. At least you didn't say Sean Connery. Yeah.
Speaker 1 00:48:10 Yeah. She say kinda asked
Speaker 5 00:48:12 Like, what are the scars guards still in scars guard. He can like flex in as uh mm-hmm. The villa there know. Yeah.
Speaker 3 00:48:21 <laugh>. I think you could be just like Herby, um, where they just like, you
Speaker 5 00:48:25 Know, Herby is, is good. Yeah.
Speaker 3 00:48:27 The, the front of the car just like pops up and down and that's their way of talking. That would be an interesting movie of just all that
Speaker 1 00:48:34 <laugh>
Speaker 2 00:48:34 <laugh> in Store Wars holiday special or it's just the, the ships' moving and there's no subtitles.
Speaker 5 00:48:40 <laugh>.
Speaker 1 00:48:42 Mm-hmm.
Speaker 3 00:48:42 <affirmative>. All right. Perfect. All anything else?
Speaker 2 00:48:46 Nope.
Speaker 3 00:48:46 We can wrap that up. Perfect. All right. So there you have it. And we will have a, a poll up on Twitter, sorry. And you can, um, vote by visiting, it's a Bitly link. It's b i dot l y slash uh, bond day draft all lowercase. So b i t dot l y slash bond day draft. Um, we'll have the polls up for one week. So until October 12th, please vote for your favorite of the bond films that we have just created here. New and original, never heard before, <laugh>. So that our participants can claim all of the flame, fame, glory and bragging rights due to them. And before we go, does anyone have any honorable mentions or any alternative picks that they wanted to use but didn't?
Speaker 1 00:49:31 My, one of my other alternate, uh, James Bonds was Gregorio Cortez from SPRs. Yeah.
Speaker 5 00:49:35 Yeah.
Speaker 1 00:49:36 Uh, I also had Melinda May as a bond woman Lance picture. So I had to go an alternate route for that. I was going to, I was thinking about doing Captain Marcora from the hunt from red October as my villain, but so once a lot of picks the red, like no, no. Gotta have to back. It's
Speaker 5 00:49:53 Just, yeah.
Speaker 1 00:49:55 I was thinking, so my other option for henchman was instead of going sort of the goofy henchman route, I was thinking, All right, what about the threatening henchman route? Someone who's physical, who you really are really physical and really threatening. John Casey from Chuck. Yeah. I think he could be a good handshake. He he could. Yeah. He's, Those are my alternates. Oh,
Speaker 2 00:50:15 Yeah.
Speaker 1 00:50:17 Hmm. <laugh>.
Speaker 3 00:50:18 Yeah. Well, when, when Lance said Chocolate Moose, I don't, I don't think I've seen that movie, but it made me think of guests on Bist from Sergeant Stubby
Speaker 2 00:50:27 <laugh>
Speaker 1 00:50:29 The
Speaker 3 00:50:30 Soldier slash chef, and I thought he would be a good one
Speaker 1 00:50:33 Too. <laugh>
Speaker 4 00:50:35 My alter alternate James Bond. Uh, actually still was not Jack Ryan. I was actually going to go with, uh, Chris Evans. Uh, are we Levinson from Dead Sea Diving Resort?
Speaker 2 00:50:49 Okay.
Speaker 1 00:50:49 Ooh,
Speaker 2 00:50:51 Nice choice. All
Speaker 4 00:50:52 Right. Yeah. My henchman, uh, was going to be Sydney Bristo played by Jennifer Gardner.
Speaker 1 00:50:59 Oh
Speaker 2 00:51:00 Yeah, Lance. I also like the, like the good guys becoming bad guys. Oh,
Speaker 4 00:51:04 Yeah. It makes it more complicated.
Speaker 2 00:51:06 Yeah. It makes things real interesting. <laugh>
Speaker 4 00:51:08 And I actually almost still almost picked her as, um, my Bond girl, but Yvonne Ssk from Chuck.
Speaker 2 00:51:15 Yeah.
Speaker 1 00:51:17 Ah, yes, Sarah.
Speaker 4 00:51:19 And obviously you had to go with my backup villain because rules,
Speaker 1 00:51:23 Right? Because you picked one who was not on our limb, not to hashtag
Speaker 4 00:51:29 Hashtag I do what I want.
Speaker 2 00:51:31 <laugh>. Yeah. Seriously.
Speaker 1 00:51:32 <laugh>.
Speaker 3 00:51:34 All right. Zach, did you have any, or are you gonna keep them in your back pocket in case there's an
Speaker 2 00:51:37 Okay. No, I, I'm gonna, let's make a gentleman's agreement. Try not to remember these and don't steal them. If, if we do, one of my backups was June Cortez
Speaker 1 00:51:49 <laugh> as James Bond.
Speaker 2 00:51:51 James Bond. And then other major backup for James Bond was George Harrison.
Speaker 5 00:51:55 Like the Beatle.
Speaker 2 00:51:56 Yeah. Do you remember Bades George
Speaker 1 00:51:59 Help? That's right. Oh my.
Speaker 2 00:52:01 You haven't seen as a, where he rides on top of a car. It's very badass. One girl. I, I thought of a Harriet Telman also Kira Lee's character from Imitation Game. Yeah.
Speaker 1 00:52:14 Oh, okay. I was like, I can't remember what,
Speaker 2 00:52:16 And then, uh, that cool from Pardo. Yeah. Cool. So, and then, uh, for my villains, I thought of Alan touring also from Imitation Game. Do you remember where I was talking about how he's like, he's like, the only thing he cares about is is the computer. So he like betrays everybody. Do you remember that conversation?
Speaker 1 00:52:33 Hmm. Right. I do remember that conversation and
Speaker 2 00:52:35 A bunch of good guys who turned into bad guys like Roy Knight from Night and Day
Speaker 1 00:52:41 <laugh>. I am surprised you did not do that one.
Speaker 2 00:52:44 Ob obviously I got my top pick Hudson Hawk maybe then I didn't have a lot a deep bench for henchman, but I thought of Emma Peel as played by Uma Thurman, the evil clone of her. And then my number two definitely I would've picked was Rover from the Prisoner.
Speaker 5 00:53:03 You picked him. Oh my God.
Speaker 2 00:53:07 Unstoppable
Speaker 5 00:53:08 Rover. So scary. You should have paid that.
Speaker 4 00:53:10 Oh yeah.
Speaker 5 00:53:11 Oh my God.
Speaker 2 00:53:12 He doesn't fit a movie where the main character is a dog. I'm sorry. He
Speaker 5 00:53:16 Does. He'll just follow the dog forever. How is the dog supposed defeat him?
Speaker 2 00:53:20 How can he defeat
Speaker 1 00:53:22 Him and is trying to chase the ball and realizes the ball
Speaker 5 00:53:26 Is evil? Right. Balls gonna suck Game
Speaker 2 00:53:27 The balls
Speaker 1 00:53:29 Chass the better choice. <laugh>.
Speaker 5 00:53:33 Ok. I had a couple backup planes. They're all planes. <laugh>
Speaker 4 00:53:37 Nice.
Speaker 5 00:53:38 France Scary powers. You two spy plane, it crashes it so it's not that useful. Um, the Ex Jet mm-hmm. <affirmative> a classic plane, and then just some, you know, Japanese kamikazi airplanes, <laugh>. Oh. And, and the Cuban missile. One
Speaker 2 00:53:57 Cuban missile caused a big
Speaker 1 00:54:01 Yeah,
Speaker 2 00:54:02 Actually don't think Dantic, there were no kamikazi in the movies recovered
Speaker 5 00:54:07 There weren't in Pearl Harbor. They didn't That's
Speaker 2 00:54:09 True. No,
Speaker 1 00:54:10 No. Well, no, there were, there were zeroes and there was, I don't know the name of the other.
Speaker 4 00:54:16 Okay, so I'm, I'm gonna throw a technicality flag on this one cuz actually she's correct. There was no such thing technically as a kamikazi classified aircraft. Kasi was the type of mission that it was going. Yeah,
Speaker 5 00:54:28 That's what I meant.
Speaker 4 00:54:29 <laugh>. So
Speaker 5 00:54:30 Come on, come on you guys. Yeah.
Speaker 4 00:54:32 In, in Pearl Harbor when there were some Japanese aircraft that were damaged beyond repair and whatever they aimed their aircraft at, uh, American Targets, therefore turning them into a suicide plane at that point. So, fair enough. Alana is correct in her her choice,
Speaker 1 00:54:51 But did we see any of them in the either of the two Pro harbor markets
Speaker 4 00:54:54 That we, they they're definitely in. How
Speaker 5 00:54:56 Could they not be in either of those To tour was like four hours long.
Speaker 4 00:55:01 Were in
Speaker 1 00:55:02 Both probably in tour horror somewhere. <laugh>,
Speaker 3 00:55:05 I thought you were gonna pick, um, the movie at the beginning of Pearl Harbor when the two kids are in the little airplane. Um, <laugh>.
Speaker 2 00:55:15 Oh, that airplane.
Speaker 3 00:55:16 Yeah. That could have been like the the side cake plane too. Yeah.
Speaker 5 00:55:19 Yeah, yeah. Yeah.
Speaker 1 00:55:21 Well thanks everyone for listening and thank you Carolyn for being on monitoring for
Speaker 5 00:55:28 This

Uh, we're just past kitten season, so, and we just had clear the shelters. Um, but still there's no time that's bad to go out and rescue an animal.
Speaker 5 00:55:55 What's the name of your rescue?
Speaker 4 00:55:57 Uh, one of the ones I mainly work with is Fancy Cats Dog and Rescue out of Fairfax County. I have two cats for them. Oreo and Laura Line.
Speaker 2 00:56:05 Aw.
Speaker 1 00:56:06 All right. Speaking of pets. Carolyn, do you wanna

Speaker 1 00:56:30 And she is named after an aging of few.
Speaker 3 00:56:32 Yes. <laugh>.
Speaker 5 00:56:34 She could have been in the draft <laugh>.
Speaker 3 00:56:37 Yeah.
Speaker 5 00:56:38 Next time
